written by:   scott harlan, phd.      patient was recommended to me after discharging a firearm in her apartment, resulting in the death of her boyfriend, sean ██████. further investigation has concluded that her retaliation was purely in self-defense, and she has been cleared of any possible charges in lieu of mandatory counseling.patient is plagued with an almost crippling fear of failure. despite her age, her naivety and optimistic view of the world seem to shape her entire personality. hardships in her past have made her fearful and anxious, but hardly bitter – aversion to even the simplest touch and any sort of firearm seem to be the most prominent lingering effects, as well as a negative, almost frightened reaction to admonishment or confrontation.

patient suffers from a long history of abuse. extensive counseling has revealed that sean was physically and emotionally aggressive, and would often beat or berate her when she failed to perform menial, sometimes even impossible tasks. deeper sessions revealed numerous instances of sexual abuse at his hands as well.patient is, however, fit for duty. what she lacks in experience, she more than compensates in intuition and empathy. her ability to connect with victims and civilians, allowing them to speak to her more freely than other agents, makes her an invaluable asset to any department.inexperience and a kind-hearted nature are her main shortcomings. she is determined to a fault, and attempts to see the world in a positive light, choosing to concentrate on the good rather than the harsh reality around her. she wishes to believe that everyone has decent intentions at heart, though she knows from experience that more often than not, it’s merely false hope.
